On Magic Guard, Cloud City Cars shifts focus from churning drones to the structural spaces found between traditional techno and freeform jazz improvisation. Built from a collage of archaic digital sequences with keyboard passages, the tracks pile time signatures and melodies upon each other to a rapturous peak, only to settle to dust again. This is your psych meditation for wandering the wasteland, conjuring light from the ghosts of broken drum machines and analog bass synths.
